Projected Tax Increase Both Monthly and Annually includes the $40,000 Homestead Exemption
School District taxes on resident homesteads (except for subsequent improvements) are FROZEN in the year a taxpayer turns 65 years of age and will not increase as a result of this Bond Election.
The disabled are also able to have their school taxes FROZEN. It's important to note that the taxpayer must apply for the exemption. This application must be made to your County’s Appraisal District.
All homestead applications must be accompanied by a copy of applicant's drivers license or other information as required by the Texas Property Tax Code. Applicant may also be required to complete an affidavit to qualify for an exemption under certain situations.
